Description

Serpierite is relatively uncommon hydrated calcium, copper, zinc sulfate. Glassy, powder-blue, blebs and turquoise-blue needles of secondary serpierite crystals richly encrust on the limonitic matrix.
This is a showy and excellent specimen from an old zinc smelter in Germany.
