Description

It was very seldom on the locale. Moreover this specimen holds an outstanding historic value as it was found in the late 1800's. I have acquired it when buying an old collection from Paris. Thetradymite crystals are in paragenesis with Sphalerite and Chalcopyrite with translucent white Calcite.
Tetradymite is uncommon bismuth, tellurium sulfosalt and this fine specimen is richly covered with bright, tin-white microcrystals in a quartz matrix. This is classic, old-time material from the historic locale Csiklóbánya, nowadays Ciclova, Romania.
