Description

Galenite forms a pseudomorph after Sylvanite, coated with Rhodochrosite. The paragenesis contains Sphalerite, Boulangerite needles, Baryte, Quartz and other different micro minerals.

On the top of the specimen there is Rhodochrosite with Calcite and partially Baryte, and on the bottom Rhodochrosite rombohedic crystals (up to 1-1.5mm size).

The classic locality of Săcărâmb (historic name Nagyág) is the type locality of Rhodochrosite. Very old find from the end of 18th century (at 200 years old).
