Description

Ex W. Bartlke col, an outstanding Tsumeb wulfenite display specimen featuring an unrivalled luster- the 8.4cm piece sparkles strikingly with every slight movement of hand since there are literally hundreds of individual crystals present.

The wulfenite exhibit a fancy silver exterior when that reflects maximum light yet translucent amber colored when positioned correctly, each blade is sharply beveled so the reflective ability is magnified many-fold increasing the visual impact dramatically.

Interestingly the wulfenite mineralization seems to have occurred in conjunction with dolomite that is elevated above the green malachite covering galena- there is a distinctive gap in some instances where the two stages are separated. The piece is very heavy due to the matrix consisting solely of galena.

Despite its size there is very little damage and this is not easily identifiable.
