Description

A very fine Tsumeb classic featuring a rare and striking paragenesis of no less than five minerals, this is by far the most notable tennantite that was ever produced due to striking color of the isolated crystals that are ordinarily black and boring. This 11cm specimen is a floater like a with one relatively minor area of attachment- every conceivable surface is richly mineralized and no matrix is present.

The three dimensional structure afford you the rare opportunity to view the minerals positioned along the peripheral edges from all sides- exposed ideally for your enjoyment- you just don’t find this quality available on the market. Quartz is a rarity in Tsumeb yet here plentiful in presence creating striking contrast to the isolated pyramidal tennantite crystals that are well positioned and exposed across the piece. The selective blue posnjakite deposition is limited solely to the tennantite and the galena crystal are equally impressive with their silver cleavages and finger print like exterior surfaces.

A fine curved dolomite rhombs is ideally positioned just beneath the center of the main display face with numerous others to the left side completing the association. The condition is outstanding.
