Description

A fantastic pseudomorph from Broken Hill featuring many well defined anglesite crystals beneath goethite coating present as a lustrous black and druse brown mineralization.

The partially exposed crystal is telling of the morphology trapped beneath the covering layer. This is a striking combination featuring aesthetics and contrast with good crystal definition as well as isolation allowing you to fully appreciate the mineralization in detail. 

The anglesite have morphed completely into cerussite, each former anglesite now consisting of a number of reticulated cerussite crystals within the restricted anglesite crystal structure- all hidden beneath the goethite. 

The replacement must have occurred after the goethite coated the anglesite since the covering restricted the cerussite typical development style. Undamaged.
