Description

 Many of you may have seen the Mineralienwelt special feature authored by Hans and Nina Soltau in the middle of last year as well as those specimen depicted in the new Namibian localities book from Bode that described the recent fluorite discoveries on the farm Hohenstein. I was fortunate to have secured a reasonable number of specimen from each discovery and will be listing some these unusual varied and unusual pieces in the upcoming months.

This is an aesthetic and sizable 3-D specimen from a recent find made just before the above mentioned article was written during mid 2016 featuring a large typical complexly terminated high luster tapering foitite crystal with fluorite crystals attached to it. the fluorite are present in two distinctly varied crystal forms the first is a simple cube and the second what is regarded as typical spearhead form in the article.

Both are well defined and lie close to one another for good comparison, their color seems dark due to the black background however when adequately illuminated reveal what is typical "Hohenstein spinel pocket" purple accenting to colorless body.

This specimen is undamaged with only attachment related contacts to report to the base.
