We have decided to break up our considerable Skorpion mine holdings, consistently assembled over the years covering unique combinations from just about every find. Most of these specimen come from well known personalities in Namibian including Gisela Hinder, Heini Soltau, Nina and Hans Soltau to name a few, the quality is high and consistent so bid with confidence.

This is one of the more dramatic tarbuttite specimen that I have from the skorpion mine featuring a series of partially decayed or rather naturally etched well defined radiating fans the likes of which you will rarely find. The Tarbuttite are not damaged at all but have been eroded away and oxidized revealing some of their former gem green structure in places within their current hollowed out forms. 

One of the crystals is now present only as an empty cast and numerous foundations of former crystal remain visible on the matrix- the crystals have been completely removed etched away by some natural stress. The main crystal measures 2.4cm across and is an exemplary specimen for the species, skorpion mine is considered to the premier locale having produced the finest crystals ever seen.

White chalky hydrozincite coats the tarbuttite making them more striking against the unique grey colored botryoidal matrix that consists of a layer of hetaerolite covering blue smithsonite. Prime features are the good crystal isolation and strange colors. This specimen is so very unusual that what seems like damage is actually not, it is undamaged with many partial crystals present.
