Description

This is one of the highly sought after tsumeb calcite variants and stands out for many striking reasons prime among them is the superb clarity and high glassy luster. The good clarity allows the inclusions to appear clearly extending across the top ridge across the entire specimen and magnified when seen through the ideal calcite crystal faces. This is a wondrous stepped aggregate of sharp interlocked calcite rhombs set on a small amount of matrix coated with the same black mineral that is included beneath the red within the calcite.

The black mineral ceases to extend beneath the calcite and here an unidentified green mineral is visible adding yet another color contrast to the calcite, this green is magnified too through the prism like crystals above it. The hematite inclusions can be better seen from the back where the individual calcite crystals can be viewed exhibiting saturated red clouds of color that fills all the completely exposed crystal faces.

This 3-D specimen offers 360° views for you to appreciate with one attachment contact and no visible damage on the front main display face, the condition is superb.
