Description

Here is another specimen that I got in a Tsumeb collection from Marshall Sussman in Tuscon, a good sized reticulated cerussite featuring an intricate lattice-work structure with a strong blue color in the matrix around it. You rarely get such complex and sizable cerussite specimens available, most often they are in a very poor state or hugely over priced.

This specimen is in a great condition with only some minor chips and one missing limb all positioned along the peripheral edges that are not visible in the ideal display position. The rare blue linarite coats some parts of the cerussite and in one tucked away area it is in association with green posnjakite, the combination is very eye catching indeed.

The super lustrous cerussite edges facing directly out are very exaggerated against the contrasting dark blue sulfide matrix enhancing the visual effect tremendously.

The cerussite structure is stepped ever increasingly recessed backwards from the front central point which gives it an added feeling of depth.
