Description

EDS & Raman conf. specimen no 20-03-18-ge18 hosting brown jeanbandyite crystal group with minor dzhalindite.

Jeanbandyite was first mentioned by Ottemann and Geier in 1970, but the status was questionable. Now about 50 years later the phase could be confirrmed by a combination of Raman spectroscopy and EDS analysis. Dzhalindite is the only Indium mineral known from Tsumeb and occurs as extremely small aggregates on jeanbandyite. The confirmation of dzhalindite was made by EDS. It is the only known indium hydroxide.

This is the only available specimen.
