Description

A very purple iowaite specimen.  Iowaite is a member of the hydrotalcite group with a hardness of 1.5.  It was formed by the alteration of serpentine.  The specimen has some serpentine.  These are becoming very difficult to obtain.  It is a relatively rare mineral.
