Description

This specimen is definitely one of the highlights from my auction. This beautiful ensemble is made up of a base of highly lustrous quartz, even developed as a floater. This fine combination features dozens of almost waterclear quartz crystals that stick out of the specimen. Some of them are grown together with some other ones forming some fantastic sculptural formations. Near the base of the specimen, some quartz crystals show a nice reddish coating which gives a great visual appearence to the piece. The perfect finishing of this specimen are for sure the dozens of well formed tetrahedrite crystals everywhere inbetween the quartz. The main crystal of tetrahedrite measures 3 cm edge length and is covered in hundrets of smaller crystals as well. The appearence of this beautiful combination is even much better in person. It is out of an old collection and was acquired in 1992.
