Description

Here we have a fantastic single crystal of tourmaline var. elbaite combined with a little lepidolite from Namibia. The crystal shows intense raspberry red colour in the center and a greenish to slightly blue core. First pic is without additional illumination, second and third with minor backlight and last pic is with more intense backlight to show the incredibal colour. This specimen is out of an old collection and was acquired in 1992. The pre owner polished the top of the specimen which is definately worth mentioning, but it does not affect its beauty at all.
