Description

An iridium rich clay collected at the Cretaceous/Tertiary boundary in the Bidart Section, Nouvelle-Aquitaine (southern France). This deposit has also been associated with the Gubbio Cretaceous/ Tertiary boundry Iridium rich clay ,due to a large meteorite impact which caused the extinction of Dinosaures. Interesting that microspherules with Ni rich crystals were also found in the central part of the deposit
