Description

Polished slab of a schalenblende coming from "Pomorzany" Zinc mine in Olkusz, Poland. The schalenblende consists of alternating bands of brown-yellow sphalerite, brunckite and wurtzite, silver-grey and lustrous galena and marcasite. Sphalerite and wurtzite are fluorescent in UV light.

Great display specimen.
