Description

Rough piece of a schalenblende coming from "Pomorzany" zinc mine in Olkusz, Poland. Concentric layers of compact sphalerite and wurtzite masses of a pale brown colour. The surface of the schalenblende is covered by tiny marcasite crystals with very aesthetic spheres of rosettes baryte crystals.

Sphalerite and Wurtzite are fluorescent in UV light.

Great display specimen!
