Billeroo Davidite Prospect, Mount Victor Plumbago Station, Olary Province, South Australia, Australia
Size Range:
Small miniature (3-4.5 cm)

Description

A large single weather worn crystal of davidite found in 2010 at this small outback prospect discovered in the early 19th century, weathering out of outcropping mica schists. This area is currently under exploration leases to determine it's economic potential.

The crystal, although somewhat worn, is sharp enough to determine crystal faces & is partly coloured by iron oxides & clay. Quite a large crystal for the species and locality.
