Description

Thenardite is a relatively uncommon sodium sulphate and is found in large splendid grey crystals at this well known evaporite deposit. This specimen is in perfect condition and shows some minor alteration on the crystals surface - possibly to gypsum.

This piece is from the Eddie Rohlach collection and would probably date back to the 1970's when these specimens first appeared on the Australian market.  Very nice display specimen.
