Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Gomersal Mine, Tanunda, Barossa Valley, Mount Lofty Ranges, South Australia, Australia
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
5.3 × 4 × 2 cm
Description

Nice specimen from this long defunct locality. Collected from the dumps in the 1970s -1980s. It has been closed to collecting now for many years and most material back-filled into the shaft.

This "floater" forms rounded groups of bladed crystals with areas of lighter colour showing internal structure with some pin holes. Some areas seem to be partially pseudomorphing to malachite.
