Description

A very good locality specimen of atacamite that is not unlike some of the Mt. Gunson type nodules. These specimens can be distinguished by the white talcose flaces adhering to the surface which consists of a fine velvet like coverage of micro crystals.

This19th century mine provided good specimens from the dumps in the 1970s but since then the remaining dumps were pushed into the shaft by the property owners concerned with trespassers.
