Locality:
Oakleigh Creek Mine, Upper Forth Valley, Meander Valley Municipality, Tasmania, Australia
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
5 × 3 × 2.5 cm
Description

An interesting specimen that has the uncanny ability to sit just perfect for display purposes. It features a large single clear quartz crystal on which a multitude of reddish brown cassiterite crystals have formed near it's base.

A splendid example from this Tasmanian locality. There is the smallest amout of chipping to the apex of the quartz crystal, and a couple of growth points on the face.
