Description

A large chiastolite crystal that has weathered out of mica schist has been cut and polished to show the characteristic cross shaped markings caused by graphite inclusions.

This is an historic locality for chiastolite with very large ones being found in at the turn of the 19th century. This specimen is of good size and in top condition.
