Description

A good sized one of these lovely glauberite specimens. The glauberite is found in brines and mud of this salt lake and occurs as these fabulous rosettes of bladed crystals with bevilled edges.

Once exposed to the air, many of these specimens develop a coating of white powdery gypsum, which can add to the appearance depending on your viewpoint. No damage to even the edges of the crystals. Brilliant !
