Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
North Mine, Broken Hill, Yancowinna County, New South Wales, Australia
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
5.6 × 4 × 2.3 cm
Description

Strands of long crystals that taper to a point are a very typical form of this species as it's found here. These types of specimens may sometimes be bought labelled 'kutnahorite' but this is usually incorrect.

This piece has lovely form and can be displayed in many ways. It has the added bonus of a dusting of many tiny micro pyrite crystals  particularly along one side. There are also some tiny rhombic calcite crystals along these strands. No damage.
