Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Koppio, Eyre Peninsula, South Australia, Australia
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
6.4 × 6.2 × 2.9 cm
Description

Compared to the Colorado classics this specimen is a poor cousin however apart from the green plumbian microline from Broken Hill, this is as good as it gets for Australian Amazonite.

This piece has quite good colour but no crystals, only cleavage planes are found. Occurs with quartz and orthoclase in pegmatite outcrops in the area.
