Classic Locality

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Poudrette Quarry, Mont Saint-Hilaire, Québec, Canada
Size Range:
Small cabinet (7-10 cm)
Size:
8.4 × 7 × 6 cm
Description

A large and aesthetic specimen of albite that is riddled with black aegerine, forming acicular and bladed crystals. The albite also forms small crystals that occur in different habits and are associated with lovely little muscovite crystals.

The overall condition is excellent. Some of the larger aegerine crystal terminations are broken but others are OK. Most of the smaller ones are perfect. This specimen is even better when viewed under a microscope
