Fornacite Wulfenite & Pyromorphite

Classic Locality

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Whim Creek Mine, Pilbara, Western Australia, Australia
Size Range:
Small cabinet (7-10 cm)
Size:
7 × 5 × 3 cm
Description

Micro crystals of golden fornacite combine with square plates of wulfenite and sulphur yellow pyromorphite on limonitic matrix. The reverse side has a nice irridescent limonite coating.

I suspect the rather crude pyromorphite crystals may be a replacement by ? another mineral. Plenty to interest those with a microscope or to add to a whim creek suite.

Please note - all crystals are <1mm,
