Size Range:
Small cabinet (7-10 cm)
Size:
7.7 × 7 × 5.3 cm
Largest Crystal:
0.80cm
Description

An old and very rich specimen of unknown provenance featuring some large crystals of bromian chlorargyrite (previously known as embolite) with a vugh of small (up to 6mm) but well formed azurite crystals at one end.

The bromian chlorargyrite crystals are often very well formed and some are coated by a very thin layer of what looks to be an brown iron staining. This gives a unique appearance to the crystals.

The matrix appears to be massive bromian chlorargyrite which is almost unheard of in a specimen of this size today.

The azurite is an added bonus and the long primatic crystals appear almost black. This is a one off specimen and are rare as hens teeth !
