Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Endeavor Mine, Cobar, Robinson County, New South Wales, Australia
Size Range:
Small cabinet (7-10 cm)
Size:
9.5 × 6 × 4.5 cm
Description

A large & heavy specimen of these much sought after yellow mimetite crystals from the Elura Mine. This specimen was obviously broken out of a much larger mass of rock judging by how much contacting there is, but sharp. barrel shaped crystals formed where they grew in protected cavities.

Many of the crystals have a dark brown goethite coating over them, which could feasibly be removed if deemed desireable. Personally I like it the way it is. It is certainly the largest specimen of it's kind that I have come across.

Please be aware of the additional postage costs.
