Description

An excellent sample of uranium bearing rock coal with some yellow brown oxidation crusts caused by the ccurrence of pyrite. This material was mined as uranium ore and is extremely rare.
The occurrence is named Döhlen Formation and is a important coal district near Dresden, Saxony. Mining activities, during the last years focused to uranium, finished in 1989.
