Description

Nice cluster of prismatic crystals of traversellite on matrix.

The crystals show a green body and a brown termination, which is classic from this mine.

Traversellite belongs to the anphibole family and takes its name from the mine of Traversella which is closed and no longer producing since 1972.

This piece was found in the dumps in 1999.
