Description

A thumbnail of a good size (13mm in length) red Beryl crystal on a typical contrasting white rhyolite matrix.

This red Beryl crystal has a nice prismatic hexagonal form with flat pinacoid terminations, the color is very good but present some inclusion of  rhyolite, come with a minor second crystal (not complete).

Red beryl, also called bixbite, is the rarest color of the mineral species and only occurs in Utah.
