Description

This is a classic combination of species for Wessels, when these hematites were first discovered (end 1980's), they immediately became modern classics; their large size and association with red andradite garnets made them highly collectible.

This robust and sharp textbook hematite crystals has mirror-bright, metallic luster and in this particular specimen reach the good size of 4.7 cm associated with small red andradite garnets.

In perfect condition this displays impressively well, Wessels is renowned for this apparently unique combination, very hard to find nowadays, a real stunning specimen. Ex personal collection.
