Thumbnail (1-3cm)
Size:
2.5 × 1.2 × 1 cm

0.90cm
Description

Rich mass of intergrown plates of Bismuth telluride in quartz, probably Tetradymite but each layer can be a different mineral and tetradymite has been confirmed at this long closed mine. Native gold is associated with the Tetradymite but I have not been able to see any on this piece but this is an excellent specimen of the bismuth telluride (at least from my experience) and my last piece until I try to find more.
