Description

Betpakdalite, a molybdenum mineral, is a very rare Tsumeb mineral present here as deep yellow crystals in a germanite-renierite matrix and associated to an unknown green globular mineral. Betpakdalite has not been analyzed, so it is not known if it is betpakdalite-CaCa or the extremely rare new mineral betpakdalite-CaMg described from Tsumeb in 2011 (IMA 2011-034 ). If it is finally this new mineral, the specimen would be outstanding for the species!. In addition, the original label states that some whitish patches near the betpakdalite crystals can be the former Mineral GF, later described as tsumgallite (!), the extremely rare gallium oxide hydroxide mineral, but this needs confirmation by analysis.

Very nice under the microscope !. Note.- Shipping costs are intended for Certified Mail. If you prefer the cheaper ordinary mail, please ask.
