A stout ramshorn gypsum specimen with typical curl.
Ex. Donald Stockton (1926 - 2016) Collection, with his label.
Difficult to photograph due to the perspective, although the 1st picture gives the best idea of the overall shape. A very interesting and aesthetic specimen with some minor contact damage to the side although nothing serious.
The old label only lists the locality as Mexico, but all of the similar classic ramshorn specimens I've seen have come from Chihuahua, and most notably from Santa Eulalia District, although I can't say that with 100% certainty of course, but I'm at least confident its from Chihuahua and have listed it as such.
