Description

Spectacular Salt lake gold from Lake Yindalgooda in Western Australia.
This specimen was a part of the Gold found in the famous "Janets Patch" a number of years ago.
What makes this piece special is the thousands of raspy casts - which feel like shark skin covering the entire specimen. These "raspy casts" are caused buy the natural etching of salt crystals from the Gold... So what you are feeling is the negative cast of the salt.
These are not easy to come by especially in this size!

Measures approx 48 x 35 x 11mm and weighs 56.6 grams
