A fine and very unusual example of Mexican topaz crystals on a light grey rhyolite matrix. The crystals have an elongated habit with lovely terminations and a very subtle red/brown tint.

The specimen was part of the late Harry Foy collection and dates from the late 1970's early 80's.

The label says it is from Queretaro however reserach indicates that it actually comes from a limited find from Tepetate.
