Description

A lovely classic San francisco Mine wulfenite and mimetite specimen dating back to the late 1970's. The matrix is covered in platy partial and complete wulfenite crystal panes displaying a lovely deep golden orange colour. Small, orange mimetite bow-tie clusters have grown epitaxially on the wulfenite crystals. The matrix also has vugs lined with straw yellow mimetite crystals and smaller wulfenite crystals.

The specimen was purchased by the Northern Irish collector, Harry J Foy, in 1979 from the famous Cornish mineral dealer, Richard 'Dick' Barstow, and comes with his original 'green' label.
