Description

Quartz and galena matrix with cavities lined with colourless quartz crystals  displaying an overgrowth of nice, electric blue linarite crystals. Some minor green malahite is also present. 

A very nice locality specimen with great provenance. Purchased in 1979 by Harry J. Foy from the iconic Cornish collector/dealer, Richard (Dick) Barstow. Harry was a significant Irish collector from the 1960's through to the 90's, being instrumental in the discovery of the zeolite minerals, garronite and gobbinsite.  The specimen has the original green Barstow label and a pasted label handwritten by Harry.
