Description

Quartz matrix with a cavity approximately 1cm wide containing nice bright micro gold crystals in association with minor sulphide mineralisation. The specimen was collected from an exploratory dig back in 2007. Given the religious significance of Croagh Patrick Mountain it is unlikely that the Irish government will sanction any further development of the locality.
