Description

Basalt matrix with multiple amygdales filled with pale orange radiating gobbinsite. Gobbinsite from Northern Ireland is more normally white in colour whoever the colour in this specimen may be due in part to cation exchange of Ca and Na ions from sea water. Other amygdales contain transparent analcime crystals overgrowing saponite balls and small white ball's which may be gonnardite.
