Description

Hawleyite is a rare cadmium-sulfide mineral with cubic symmetry, dimorph with greenockite. It forms intesive canary yellow powdery masses and encrustations on altered quartzite matrix.

The presence of greenockite is normal as the analysises shows, but this yellow crusts are dominatly hawleyites.
