Description

Super rare halide mineral species strontioflourite & polezhaevaite-(Ce) from Koashva Mt., Khibiny Massif, Kola Peninsula, Russia (Type Locality).

Both minerals were approved as new species in the last years -  polezhaevaite -(Ce) - IMA 2009-015 ;  strontioflourite - IMA 2009-014 .

Polezhaevaite-(Ce) forms pearly white fracture fillings between the pale yellow burbankite and white natrolite matrix . Strontiofluorite occurs as submicroscopic grains in Polezhaevaite-(Ce) so this mineral is not visible by naked eyes.

Both species comes from their Type and only Locality.
