Description

Armenite is a rare Ba-Ca-Al silicate mineral of milarite-osumilite group. It forms a rich coverage of well formed, colourless/white crystals with good luster associated with some quartz on gneiss matrix. It comes from a cleft I opened in 2015 and worked for 2 summer seasons, and produced unusually large specimens richly covered with gemmy armenite crystals. Wasen Alp is the world best locality of well crystalized armenite. Very nice, large and rich specimen.
