Description

Very nice and rich piece of copper red, tabular niobophyllite on white feldspar-quartz matrix. Niobophyllite is a niobium rich member of astrophyllite group, fairly rare mineral. It occurs only few localities worldwide, Mt. Malossa is probably the best locality for the species.
