Size Range:

Description

Very complex REE mineralization from Bellerberg vulcano. The specimen features yellow crystal group of wakefieldite-(La) and apatite-(CaF) with Monazite core. There are also tiny orange -brown octahedros of yet unidentified cerium rich betafite group mineral. Wakefieldite-(La) is a lanthanum-vanadate, which is unfortunately not possible to distinguish from apatit-(CaF), nor on higher magnification. With the speciemen I can provide a german language article including SEM micrographs about this unique mineralization.
