Description

Very rare K-Zr silicate species Kostylevite in association with a Na-Y-Zr silicate Sazykinaite-(Y). Kostylevite forms a group of colourless crystals, Sazykinaite-(Y) forms pale yellow-pink rhomboedron on microcline matrix. Other associating minerals are dark green aegirine and brown lamprophyllite. Kostylevite shows green fluorescence in SWUV light. Koashva Mt. is the Type Locality for Sazykinaite-(Y).
