Description

Rich specimen of rare potassium-magnesium-sulfate mineral langbeinite. It forms white crude crystals and rounded grains on scoria with an unidentified green copper mineral . The specimen is rich in dark red needles which is an unnamed, lyonsite like Cu-Fe vanadate. Also red, platy hematite is present with black isometric magnetite crystals. The whole mineral association was formed by fumarolic activity.
